Coverage Options
We require all residents to carry liability insurance of $100,000 for damages to the landlord’s property during their lease term. Choose between renters or liability insurance through our easy and flexible options and programs.
Option 1
Renters Insurance
Renters insurance not only meets your lease requirement but will also protect your personal belongings from theft or damage. There are two options for renters insurance coverage:
- Enroll in our renters insurance program through FolioGuard™ Renters Insurance (learn more)
- Comprehensive coverage is purchased conveniently, fast, and secure within the same online portal you use to pay your rent
- Sign up for renters insurance on your own and provide proof of coverage
Option 2
Liability Insurance
Liability insurance is an easy and low-cost way to meet your lease requirement but it does not cover your personal belongings. You pay the monthly premium together with your rent.

- Lessees who do not provide proof of renters insurance by the day of move-in, will be automatically enrolled in our tenant liability insurance program

You are under no obligation to participate in our renters or liability insurance programs. You may satisfy the lease requirement by obtaining a personal renters insurance or liability insurance policy from an insurance agent or insurance company of your choice and providing proof of coverage (a copy of the declarations page) for the duration of your lease.
FolioGuard™ Renters Insurance by AppFolio Insurance Services, Inc. policies are underwritten by Century-National Insurance Company (CO, CT, ID, ME, MT, NJ, UT, VT, WA), Cypress Property and Casualty Insurance Company (FL), Trisura Insurance Company (FL), or Spinnaker Insurance Company (all other states) and offered by a licensed insurance agency, AppFolio Insurance Services, Inc.
